collage working club

Collage explores new ways of re-imagining our surroundings and making strange what is familiar. As a ‘copy and paste’ medium it has never been more relevant in today’s image-saturated society. A springboard for many creative solutions, collage can be found as a tool for artists, graphic designers, architects, teachers, coaches and fashion designers, and it does not require elaborate materials to begin.

Collage Working Club (CWC) is a weekly open workspace for artists working in the medium of paper. Organised in the format of alternate ‘drop in’ sessions and workshops masterclasses, it has both a regular facilitator, whilst also involving the artist community in the sharing of knowledge and skills. Providing materials, education and connections is the primary aim of CWC, and it will do this through the interdisciplinary art of collage as both an art form and a tool for personal growth.

The group is hosted by visual artist Nina Fraser, and occupies the physical space of Art&Craft Refúgio, part of Residências Refúgio and Largo Residências, a cultural and social project in Arroios, Lisbon.

Address:
Largo Residências, Quartel GNR - Largo do Cabeço da Bola, 1150-081 Lisboa, Portugal
Opening times: Wednesdays 16h - 19h
